In August 1976, King of Kings started its school with grades 1 through 6. The following school year, kindergarten and grades 7 and 8 were added. In August 1998, the K4 program began.
King of Kings continues to provide quality, Christ-centered education to the children of its congregation and the community.
This school is operated as a Lutheran Elementary School within King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maitland, Florida. Its supervision is directly under the School Planning Committee of the congregation.
King of Kings Lutheran School is one of more than 337 schools within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Approximately 30,000 children are enrolled in these schools, which are staffed by more than 1,800 called teachers. The teachers in these schools, as well as in our school, have received their education degree from accredited Lutheran colleges. Specialized instructors may be used in certain areas, such as religion (namely, the pastor), music, and art.
