King of Kings Connections - 1 May 2020

Dear Family in Christ,

I pray this finds you still safely basking in the afterglow of Easter. With the expiration of the statewide Stay-at-Home order on Thursday and Gov. DeSantis' announcement of the phases of the reopening process here in Florida, we want to keep you informed of where things stand with worship and other events here at King of Kings.

Worship at King of Kings
  • Status of In-Person Worship - With Phase 1 of the Florida reopening plan set to begin on Monday, May 4, we will once again offer live, online-only worship on Sunday, May 3 as we have done since March 22. Our hope is to begin a process of carefully, cautiously, and safely offering in-person worship once again in some fashion, starting on Sunday, May 10.

This process will be a careful roll-out abiding within the guidelines and timeline of the Florida reopening plan and therefore keeping in mind the necessity of social distancing, sanitized conditions, and restrictions on number of attendees in a single gathering. The King of Kings leadership will meet Tuesday to discuss and
finalize plans for this reopening process.
  • Live, Online Worship Continues - Please note that for the foreseeable future, we still plan to offer live broadcasts of our worship services on Sundays @ 10 am via Facebook Live @ Facebook.com/VisitKoK! We will also continue to post those recorded services on our YouTube channel.

  • Youth Confirmation - The Confirmation of our 5 youth confirmands is still planned for Sunday, May 17. How that will look and safely take place is still being determined.

  • Private Communion Available for Kings of Kings Members - Members of Kings of Kings, WELS, or the ELS are still encouraged to take advantage of receiving private communion. This is conducted in a safe and sanitary manner in the sanctuary with a brief devotion and the Sacrament. Please contact Pastor Gumm by email or call 407-628-5696 to set up an appointment to receive the Lord's Supper.
