Grades 3-5 Update

Memory Work for this Week(due Friday, Septmeber 7): 

The Third Commandment 

Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 

What does this mean? 

We should fear and love God that we do not despise preaching and his Word, but regard it as holy and gladly hear and learn it. 


Fourth Commandment 

Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. 

What does this mean? 

We should fear and love God that we do not dishonor or anger our parents and others in authority, but honor, serve, and obey them, and give them love and respect.

No Spelling List this Week-- we are finalizing assessments this week. We have lots of different academic levels in the classroom this year! Lord willing, we will start the regular reading, spelling, vocabulary curriculum next week. Students will have their spelling lists by the end of the week based on their pre-tests this last week. 

Keep going with Accelerated Reader!! The end of the first period is approaching and there is still time to earn points! Remember, your progress on AR also is added to your overall reading grade.
