Letter from Mr. Cochran

Dear parents,

It is no doubt a blessing that we are scheduled to have the next week off, as our medical experts are encouraging all to practice social distancing.

There is a POSSIBILITY that, while we are on break, the State of Florida MIGHT extend the break, and not allow school to be in session for an extended time.

I have no inside information as to whether this might happen, but looking around as to what’s taking place around the country, there is a POSSIBILITY.

With that POSSIBILITY, we are sending home all essential books and supplies with the children so that the King of King teachers can conduct classes via technology (internet, texts, etc.) IF NECESSARY.

I must admit, I don’t have this all figured out as to how best to accomplish this, but I believe it can be done. Plus, if your children are kept home for an extended time, I’m sure you will be happy that they will have something constructive to do while at home.

If for some reason your child was not here today, and we find that the state will be extending the break, perhaps you can stop by during the break to pick up your child’s books and supplies. Please call ahead to be sure someone is in the office…407-628-5696. If that's not possible, I will be here the Monday after break from 8 AM-3PM.

Perhaps this will not be necessary, but I’m trying to be proactive based on what is happening elsewhere around the country.

As I'm writing this letter this AM, I was just informed that Mr. Warnecke’s dad passed away last night. We rejoice in the fact that he is now with Jesus! We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Warnecke.

May the good Lord keep you all safe during the break.

If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with me.
